From Ian (reporting from base camp)
So Mark and Jay arrived in Ireland at 8 on Friday night. They got home and after reassembling the bikes had a relaxing evening with dinner and a few drinks to build up energy levels for the next day.
After an early(ish) night they set off at the rather unforgiving time of 8 am on Saturday morning. For the first day my dad was the pace-setter on his racer, while support driver Lesley with my mother were on backup. After a though couple of hours (especially the last 10 k or so) the report filtered in that they had finally made it into Dundalk where they were to be greeted by the local representatives of Muscular Dystrophy. After dinner, the pub was calling and while there, they managed to raise another €500 in donations.
But by now, with wobbly legs and energy levels depleted, it was time to hit the sack for a good nights sleep to prepare for Sundays cycle.

I don't know if it's just me or if perhaps everybody else experiencing problems with your
